XIV. Mercedes-Benz Classic Startour

Dear Entrants, Enquirers!
The number of the entries for XIV. Mercedes-Benz Classic Startour reached the planned maximum. Further entries will be received on the waiting-list, because finalizing of already submitted entries is in progress. We'll inform you about the possibility of participation on 18. February; please do not transfer the entry fee until that. In 2025 the wonderful cars of the Mercedes Benz Startour will visit the vicinity of Tokaj. The first-ever Startour was organised more than 20 years ago, and this year we welcome the participants with the 14th event in 20 years. Besides the captivating North-Eastern Hungary we are going to visit the hidden settlements, several larger cities.
Between 11 and 13 April 2025 we looking forward to receive entry applications from owners of Mercedes-Benz cars that are more than 30 years old, or considered "classic", and who would like to test their cars and their own skills during a pleasant road trip.
Only original Mercedes-Benz cars and their owners April take part in the two-day rally, in teams of two. The planned distance of approx. 500 kilometres must be completed by the competitors in stages by a predetermined time.
Competitors will be testing their skills and knowledge during the rally with two different tasks: competing in the 1/100 regularity challenge, and answering questions about the history of the brand, Mercedes-Benz cars and models. The various tasks are mixed and will come one after the other during the two-day trip.
The owners of cars manufactured before 1960 are evaluated separately.
Due to the limit on the number of competitors, the organisers reserve the right to select the entrants, who shall accept the following terms and conditions.
Conditions of participation
Eligible cars:
Only the following cars April participate in the rally: Mercedes-Benz cars produced before 31. December 1994, or models considered "classic" by the MB Classic Center in Stuttgart. The acceptance of entries with models younger than 30 years but older than 20 years is under the discretion of the organizers.
Application of youngtimers and special models, that are different from the above mentioned, is possible but the number of such entries is limited. In every case the organiser has the right to approve or decline such applications after receiving the details of the car.
The vehicle must have a valid licence and insurance acceptable in Hungary (an appropriate temporary "I" licence plate is permitted). Subsequent modifications faithful to the original design are permitted. Cars with non-genuine modifications, replicas, buses and military vehicles may not enter the competition.
Applicants shall send a photo of their car (at least 500 kB) in .JPG format. The race numbers and labels provided by the organisers must be placed on the vehicle for the duration of the competition. These signs may not be cut or torn.
To ensure a levelled playing field, competitors of the 14th Mercedes-Benz Classic Startour may not use electronic navigation systems (GPS). Mechanical and electronic devices may be used to measure time and distance, this includes GPS based applications without a rhythm or sound output.

Entry fee:
For payments between 18th February and 31st March 2025 the entry fee for a team (car and two people): HUF 400.000 (VAT included)
Mercedes-Benz cars produced before 1960 may enter the rally with a discount!
Until 17th February 2025 the entry fee for cars produced before 1960 (car and two people): HUF 178.500 (VAT included)
For payments between 18th February and 31st March 2025, the entry fee is: HUF 400.000 (VAT included)
The entry fee includes the following:
• Participation in the rally for 2 competitors with 1 car
• Race number, roadbook, documentation
• Competitors’ pack
• Competition prizes
• Pre-registration and 1/100 practice in Budapest on Thursday afternoon
• Light breakfast on Friday before the start, then lunch and a hearty dinner with drinks
• Hearty breakfast, lunch, dinner and prize-giving ceremony with unlimited drinks on Saturday
• Accommodation for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) in twin rooms in Minaro Hotel Tokaj MGallery*****
• Buffet breakfast in the hotel on Sunday
Fee for accommodation of additional participants in separate rooms: HUF 235.000 (VAT included)
Extra charge for a single room: HUF 130.000 (VAT included)
If you would like to book single rooms, we will register your request, but we can only comfirm the availability after the first entry deadline (18th February). Please, send only the normal entry fee, and send the extra charge for the single rooms, only when you receive confirmation from us. In case we can not provide you with single rooms, and for that reason you would not like to participate, we transfer back the entry fee.
Extra charge for Suite * for 2 nights: HUF 100.000 (VAT included)
* Suite apartments are available in a limited amount, recommended when 2 extra beds needed.
How can you enter:
Please complete the online entry form below by the deadline (31. March 2025, Monday). The application is considered valid when the entry fee has been transferred to the specified bank account. It will then be confirmed by e-mail by the organisers. When the organisers receive the entry fee, they will issue an invoice and sent it by e-mail to the specified e-mail address.
The services included in the entry fee cannot be divided. It is only possible to replace a registered vehicle or assign the entry to another person with the written permission of the organisers. Submitted requests for changes are evaluated by the organisers separately.

Only the cars and people registered may participate in the rally.
Cancellation conditions:
• Until 17th February 2025: cancellation with full refund
• Between 18th February and 31st March 2025: cancellation with 50% refund
• From 1st April 2025: cancellation without refund
Liability:
The organisers shall not be liable for any kind of personal injury or material damage during the competition. Drivers and their passenger(s) shall be fully liable for any damage that April occur. All participants must follow the rules of the road on the specified route. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify the team if they severely violate those rules.
Press releases:
Competitors accept that images and written materials prepared during the competition (list of results, names, interviews, etc.) are the exclusive property of the organiser, who can use said materials for press releases as well as for documentation and marketing purposes in the future, without limitation, and without prior notification sent to the competitor. Competitors April not make any material or moral claim to the organiser in connection with usage of the images and written materials.
